Background:

Durian, the ‘king of fruits’, is bulky and irregular in shape. Due to its seasonal harvest and large export value, packaging efficiency and product protection were top concerns. The Indonesian customer sought a solution that minimized manual labor and extended shelf life.

Solution :

Utien Pack provided Flexible Bottom Film Thermoforming Packaging Machine (DZL-R) featuring:

• Flexible bottom film with 520mm width.

• Vacuum packaging to achieve below 0.4% oxygen residuals.

• Deep draw forming up to 135mm depth for large fruit profiles.

• Servo-assisted stretching system for uniform forming.

• Customized thermoforming mold perfectly around oval-shaped durian.
